The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on February 25 put into circulation the 200-hryvnia banknotes designed in 2019.
The design of the new banknotes has not changed much and is almost identical to that of 200-hryvnia banknotes issued in 2007, according to the regulator’s website.
In particular, the portrait of Lesya Ukrainka, one of Ukraine’s most prominent poets and writers, is depicted on the front side of the note, while the other one features Lutsk Castle’s Entrance Tower.
The dimensions of the new banknote are 75 mm by 148 mm. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
