Tbilisi International Airport will see improvements to its infrastructure and service following an inspection by the Georgian Minister of Economy and setting of deadlines for the work.
Landing and departure terminals of the airport, slots of airline tickets, registration slots and also shops and cafes in the building were inspected by Natia Turnava, with issues identified for improving standards.
Turnava pointed out the basic infrastructure of bathrooms and various services in the departure hall, which should be reconstructed. Also she noted the interior of cafes and restaurants and said that it did not meet the required standards.
“Today I have looked at both terminals and I am not satisfied, as there are still many problems to fix. We gave a very strict warning to TAV Georgia,” said Turnava.
Turnava gave time to TAV Georgia, the sole operator of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, to fix the issues, with another inspection set following the deadline. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
