Ukraine has reduced sugar exports by 24% YoY in 11 months of the 2018-2019 marketing year (MY, September 2018 – August 2019).
“In the current marketing period, the most active demand for Ukrainian sugar is observed in the post-Soviet countries: Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan,” the press service of Ukraine’s National Association of Sugar Producers “Ukrsugar” said in a statement.
Ukrainian producers exported 7,000 tons of sugar in July alone, the report said.
Ukraine almost did not import sugar over the period under review, the press service added. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
