Industrial production output in Latvia in May when compared to the same period of 2018 increased by 1.7%, which was a more rapid growth rate than the average in the EU, according to data published by Eurostat.
Among the EU member states for which data was available, industrial output growth was more rapid in Denmark (+12.5%), Ireland (+8.2%) and Hungary (+6.1%).
Lithuania experienced a 0.8% growth during this period of time, whereas Estonia experienced a 1.2% growth.
May’s most rapid industrial output was observed in Denmark (+4.4%), Ireland (+2.3%) and France (+2.1%), whereas the biggest reduction was observed in Finland (-2.9%), Romania (-1.9%) and Croatia (-1.7%). Industrial output in Latvia went up by 2%, whereas industrial output in Estonia went up by 0.4%, but in Lithuania it went down by 0.3%. (BNN/Business World Magazine)
