Retail trade in Ukraine grew by 7.9% YoY in comparable prices in January-April 2019, to UAH 319.887 billion ($12.3 billion).
Retail turnover increased the most in Vinnytsia region (by 13.2%, to UAH 5.167 billion or $197.9 million), Kyiv region (by 12.1% to UAH 17.798 billion or $681.7 million), Ivano-Frankivsk region (by 12% to $4.551 or $174.3 million), Dnipropetrovsk region (by 10.8% to UAH 23.408 billion or $896.5 million), and Lviv region (by 10.8% to UAH 14.892 or $570.4 million), according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service’s website.
Retail trade in April alone shrank by 2.2% MoM.
Trade through retail outlets in January-April was estimated at UAH 231.596 billion, or $8.9 billion, up by 8.6% YoY. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
