The Ukrainian Horticultural Association (UHA) says prices of greenhouse vegetables, namely cucumbers and tomatoes, have dropped by 20% over the past week.
“The decline in prices is associated with improved weather conditions and large supply on the market. Now the prices of cucumbers on wholesale markets are about UAH 15-20 ($0.57-$0.76) per kilogram,” the Association said.
Producers are also reviewing prices of tomatoes, which gradually become cheaper. Now they cost UAH 40 ($1.5) per kilogram. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
