Kyrgyzstan exports only honey, dried fruit and beans to Europe, Erkinbek Choduev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of Kyrgyzstan, announced at a meeting of the Parliament.
MP Talaibek Masabirov asked what kind of agricultural products Kyrgyzstan exported to EU countries and whether they were organic.
Erkinbek Choduev replied that dried fruit and honey for $11 million were exported to Europe. At least 90,000 tons of beans were exported last year, with 30% of them – to the EU.
“The exported goods are not completely organic,” he said. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
