The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev held a meeting on reforming the energy sector of Kyrgyzstan, the Information Support Department of the government reported.
The population criticizes the existing structure of management of the energy sector and the work of the National Energy Holding Company.
“There is no significant shift in problem solving. Servicing of previously obtained loans, commissioning of new generating capacities, renewal of fixed assets of energy companies and strategic documents for the development of the energy industry cause much concern,” Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev said.
The Prime Minister drew attention to the system of state management of the energy industry.
“First of all, we must restore citizens’ confidence in the energy sector, ensure the openness and transparency of its work, eliminating all corruption risks. This is possible with the introduction of new automated systems according to uniform, high-quality standards,” the Prime Minister stressed.
In order to develop the domestic economy and create new jobs, he instructed to make proposals for the organization of enterprises in Kyrgyzstan for the production of smart meters, cable products, transformers and other equipment. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
