Capital investments in Ukraine grew by 26.6% in the first half of 2018 compared with the corresponding period in 2017, First Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv stated during Government Question Hour meeting.
“Capital investments increased by 26.6% in the first half of 2018 compared with 2017. Almost half of the funds was invested in new equipment and machinery,” Kubiv said.
He also stressed that a large number of entrepreneurs came out of the shadows.
“According to the data by the Economic Development Ministry, the level of the shadow economy lowered by 3% in the first half of 2018 compared to the corresponding period in 2017, to 32% of the official GDP. The shadow economy has decreased by 11% from 2014,” Kubiv said. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
