Upgraded T-64BV tanks, the core of Ukraine’s land forces, were showcased at the rehearsal of Ukraine’s Independence Day military parade in Kyiv.
Main battle tanks were equipped with new night vision devices, radios with a range of up to 70 km, and GPS navigation systems, according to the Ukrainian Military Portal.
“Visually, a new upgrade can be seen in the absence of an infrared emitter, which is associated with the replacement of a TPN1-49-23 sight for a TPN-1-TBO made by Trimen-Ukraine. Instead, the tank got additional dynamic protection blocks,” the report says.
In addition, modernized tanks received a navigation system made by SE Orizon-Navigation as an external SMART-type antenna is seen. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
