Riga International Airport concluded the first half-year of 2018 with turnover increase of 13% when compared to the same period of 2017, according to the airport’s unaudited and shortened account for the six-month period before June 30.
Compared to last year’s turnover in the same period, the airport’s net turnover has increased by 13% or by EUR 3.33 million, reaching EUR 28.69 million. The airport concluded the first half-year of 2018 with profits of EUR 5.9 million.
Meanwhile, revenue for aviation services accounted for EUR 17.79 million. Compared to the previous year, this revenue has grown by 20%. The largest portion of this revenue came from services whose fees are governed by regulations regarding airstrip services and airstrip security and storage activities.
“Income from non-aviation related services accounted for EUR 10.9 million and was 1% larger than income from the same period of 2017. The airport’s main non-aviation related services include leasing premises and land, as well as other services,” the airport says.
In the first six months of 2018 Riga airport serviced more than 3.24 million passengers, up by 18.2% YoY. (BNN/Business World Magazine)
