Exports of apples from Ukraine in the 2017-2018 season soared 3.2-fold YoY. Ukraine exported 49,000 tons of apples over the period under review, the Ukrainian government’s portal has said.
In the previous 2016-2017 season Ukraine shipped only 12,800 tons of apples abroad.
“The largest batches of Ukrainian apples are exported to Belarus, Moldova, and Austria,” it said.
Ukrainian farmers in 2018 plan to harvest 400,000-500,000 tons of fruit and berries, up by 10-30% YoY, according to preliminary estimates. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
