A state-of-the-art Belarusbank branch has been opened in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.
Belarusbank Deputy Chairwoman of the Board Svetlana Kozhekina stressed: “It is a particularly important branch because it will become the face of the entire bank not only in the industrial park but for all our present and future partners from China. The design of the branch mixes universality with comfort and technology. Clients – individuals and corporations – will be able to get a broad range of banking services here.”
The Belarusbank branch in the industrial park employs highly qualified specialists, who speak English fluently. The user interface of the local ATM and self-service kiosk is available in foreign languages, including Chinese. With the self-service devices operational, clients will be able to enjoy Belarusbank services 24/7.
“The branch has already been working in test mode for two weeks. We welcome employees of the resident companies, who exchange foreign currencies, get cash from the ATM and make the transactions they need. This branch implements the bank’s latest front office standards, which provide for open workspace and universal workstations with cash registers,” explained Svetlana Kozhekina.
Belarusbank already caters to about ten companies out of the 36 companies residing in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.
“Our branch No. 500 in Minsk takes care of them. The branch located directly in the industrial park will allow us to bring our services closer to the clients in addition to finding new ones since the number of resident companies is constantly on the rise,” stated the executive.
Director General of Industrial Park Development Company Li Haixin noted that the company had worked with Belarusbank since 2012.
“They’ve helped us a lot. Belarusbank has reached the industrial park now and will continue working with us. I hope that the bank will develop successfully in the industrial park and more resident companies will become its clients,” he stressed.
According to the data available in early July the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone is home to 36 resident companies from China, Belarus, Russia, the USA, Germany, Austria, Lithuania, and Israel. The volume of declared investments has reached $1.1 billion. As many as 16 resident companies are busy building their factories in the industrial park or renting standard buildings.
Belarusbank Deputy Chairwoman of the Board Svetlana Kozhekina stated that the bank’s branch in the industrial park would become another contribution to the advancement of Belarusian-Chinese relations.
“With the branch open, Belarusbank’s mission – helping our clients achieve success by offering universal services in all parts of our country at any time – will be accomplished as much as possible,” she said. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
