Belarus’ food exports rose by 9.3% YoY in January-April, Belarus’ Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats declared on the sidelines of the international agriculture expo Belagro 2018.
“Belarus’ agriculture industry has shown positive dynamics during the period under review. Gross output increased by 3.5%. The production of milk went up by 80,000 tons, that of meat by 8,000 tons. Thanks to this, we have fully provided the processing plants with raw materials, saturated the food domestic market and sold the surplus abroad. In January-April Belarus’ food exports totaled $1.644 billion, which was up by 9.3% over the same period a year earlier (or by $140 million),” Leonid Zayats said. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
