Azerbaijan plans to begin exporting eggs to Russia and Iran, Executive Director of the National Entrepreneurship Support Fund (NFES) of Azerbaijan Shirzad Abdullayev said at a press conference.
Abdullayev said that if in the past Azerbaijan could not completely provide itself with this product, now the local production was sufficient not only to ensure domestic demand, but also aim for export.
He stressed that the Fund paid a great attention to creation of modern poultry farms.
“Since its establishment, the NFES has issued preferential loans worth 138.4 million manats to create 40 poultry farms with a total cost of 283.2 million manats,” Abdullayev said.
The NFES was established in 1992.
To date, about 35,000 entrepreneurs have been granted soft loans worth 2.1 billion manats for realization of projects worth 4.7 billion manats.
Thanks to these loans, up to 160,000 new jobs were created. 71% of soft loans were directed for development of the agricultural sector, and 29% for development of industry and other spheres. Average and small loans accounted for 93% of the total number of the funded projects. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
