China’s Gezhouba Group Cement Co., Ltd. plans to commission a cement plant in Kazakhstan’s Kyzylorda region in December, said the company’s head, Lee Min, on the sidelines of a meeting with the region’s head, Krymbek Kusherbaev.
The parties discussed the construction of the cement plant in Shieli, Kyzylorda region, by the Chinese company, as well as the access to sand deposit, gas and electricity supply, transport infrastructure, and other details.
Kusherbayev also suggested Gezhouba Group Cement Co., Ltd. to explore the prospects for construction of a second cement plant with a capacity of 750,000 tons per year in the Zhanakorgan district of the Kyzylorda region.
The design capacity of the plant in Shieli will amount to 1 million tons per year. The project required a land plot of 50 hectares.
The plant’s products will be supplied to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and the CIS. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
