In the first six months since airBaltic has started performing regular domestic flights between Riga and Liapaja more than 4,780 passengers have been carried on this route.
It is reported that airBaltic will be performing regular flights to Liepaja this winter and in the 2018 summer season. More than 715 bookings have already been made for flights to Liepaja this winter season and next year’s summer season.
airBaltic opened flights to Liepaja on May 16.
The airline performs flights between Riga and Liepaja three times a week. Flights are performed using Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft and usually last about 40 minutes.
Last year, airBaltic earned EUR 1.2 million, which is several times less than in 2015 (EUR 19.5 million). The airline’s turnover was EUR 286 million last year, up by 1% YoY. (BNN/Business World Magazine)
