Since the beginning of 2017-2018 MY, and as of November 1, Ukraine exported nearly 14 million tons of grains, down by 1 million tons YoY, the Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP), Volodymyr Lapa within frames of the second conference “Grain exports from Ukraine” declared.
He noted that there was a staffing problem in some of region offices of the SSUFSCP, which made a significant impact on phytosanitary inspection works.
However, the draft law No. 6673 “On amendments into several legislative acts of Ukraine concerning the settlement of carrying out of certain phytosanitary procedures” will allow private laboratories to bring up in inspection works, which would somewhat improve the current situation.
According to Lapa, in the nearest future the officials will settle all issues relating to the reference studies. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
