The center for monitoring and combating computer attacks in the financial sphere will start operating in 2018, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Belarus’ National Bank Taras Nadolny declared ahead of the third CIS international banking and finance forum Minsk Business Meetings.
“We are now working to set up the unit which will deal with cyber security. The project is at the first stage: we defined the areas of activity and set up a commission with the participation of the banks, which are the most advanced on this front, and units of the National Bank. The center for monitoring and combating computer attacks in the financial sphere is expected to be up and running in 2018,” Taras Nadolny said.
He noted that the establishment of such unit had just begun.
“Therefore I would not want to speak about the exact launch date,” he added. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
