Sergiy Tigipko intends after the purchase of VS Bank (Lviv) to merge it with TAScombank (Kyiv), the businessman said during the Ukrainian banking forum CIS Bankers held in Kyiv.
“We want to merge VS Bank and TAScombank – we undertook such obligations. This will allow us to significantly increase the capital (by 60%), which we’ve just raised by 25%. We are not going to reduce the number of branches,” he said.
Tigipko said among the priorities of the banking group was the development of high-tech banking products and services.
“We are launching the Monobank mobile banking on the basis of Universal Bank, we are starting to sell our services. It will be very technological and competitive services on the market. In December we will launch another technology on the basis of TAScombank for small and medium-sized businesses. And we cooperate with former colleagues from PrivatBank, so I hope that we will create interesting competitive products,” he said.
Tigipko also announced the intention of the group to buy not only banks but also debts. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
