Ukraine has received proposals to buy back 2019 eurobonds for $1.161 billion and 2020 eurobonds for $415.152 million and chosen to accept all of the bonds validly tendered for repurchase, the issuer has reported on the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) on September 18.
“The offeror hereby announces that the total final acceptance amount is equal to $1.576 billion,” the Finance Ministry said in the announcement.
According to the announcement, 2019 eurobonds are repurchased at 106% of the principal amount of the bonds and that for 2020 eurobonds – 106.75%.
The accrued interest payment will be settled in the amount of $5.17 per each $1,000 of the principal amount of the bonds.
According to the document, the expected settlement date for the offer is on or about September 25.
Ukraine is to pay $1.682 billion to the bond holders under this offer.
Eurobonds due in 2019 for $661.338 million are left to be paid and 2020 eurobonds for $1.365 billion. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
