Minsk conducted export and import operations with 188 countries in 2016, the National Statistics Committee reported.
Last year the Belarusian capital exported $8.1 billion worth of products, or 34.6% of the country’s aggregate exports. Minsk companies exported tractors and tractive units, trucks, chemical products, refrigerators and freezers, timber, component parts for trucks and tractors, buses, electric transformers and other products.
The Belarusian capital traded with the EAEU countries (32.7%), the EU states (33%) and other countries (34.3%).
Minsk boasts a steadily developing foreign trade in services. In 2016 the export of services provided by Minsk companies totaled $4 billion (58.7% of the country’s aggregate export of services) and exceeded the 2015 level by 10.6%.
