This year more than 600,000 railway containers from China will go to Europe via Minsk, Chengdu International Railway Port, a major hub of the Belt and Road project, reported.
The railway port is able to secure an uninterrupted supply of Chinese goods to Europe. Both big and small Chinese companies ship their products. The journey time for container trains on the Chengdu-Minsk-Warsaw route has been reduced to ten days, with the train covering up to 10,000 km. Germany and the Netherlands are also among the destination points.
Among the goods transported from Chengdu are clothes, footwear, food products, and electrical appliances. There were some 570,000 railway containers last year. In 2017 their number will reach 600,000. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
