Belarusian agrarians have already cropped more than 3.5 million tons of grain, the Agriculture and Food Ministry reported.
As of August 10, Belarus’ grain harvest exceeded 3.5 million tons. Brest region harvested 964,100 tons, Minsk region – 784,200 tons. Gomel region and Grodno region cropped 605,400 and 620,000 tons respectively. The harvest of Mogilev region reached 401,300 tons, Vitebsk region – 210,700 tons.
A total of 1,001,800 hectares, or 46.1%, of areas under crops have been harvested in the country. As of today, Brest region remains the leader: the region has cropped 77.7% of the total area. This year, the average yield makes up 35.8 hundredweights per hectare. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
