Belarusian agrarians have already cropped over 1.5 million tons of grain, the Agriculture and Food Ministry reported.
As of August 4, Belarus’ grain harvest exceeded 1.5 million tons. Brest region harvested 541,000 tons, Gomel region – 404,200 tons. Minsk region and Mogilev region cropped 263,500 and 100,800 tons each. The harvest of Grodno region reached 225,900 tons, Vitebsk region – 14,510 tons. A total of 448.700 hectares, or 19.9%, of areas under crops have been harvested in the country.
Brest region is the leader: the region has cropped 44.3% of the total area. This year, the average yield makes up 34.5 hundredweights per hectare. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
