Ukrainian air carriers increased passenger transportation by 40% YoY in January-June, to 4.6 million people, according to the State Statistics Service.
Passenger turnover for the period under review soared by 45.8%, to 8.9 million passengers/km, the report said.
Air freight for the first 6 months of 2017 fell by 8.9%, to 4,000 tons, while cargo turnover decreased by 2.4%, to 113.3 million tons/km compared to January-June 2016.
The State Statistics Service said that the data excluded reports from temporarily occupied areas in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, and Donbas. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
