In January-May the Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ exported 120% more merchandise in comparison with the same period of last year, BelAZ representatives reported.
This year BelAZ products have been exported to 22 countries. In January-May export to Russia rose 2.2-fold YoY. Export to non-CIS states went up by 130%, with export to CIS states up by nearly 100%.
As far as domestic sales are concerned, the Belarusian granite-mining company RUPP Granit bought a second haul truck BelAZ 75570 with the carrying capacity of 90 tons while the Grodno-based engineering company GMZ bought two haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 45 tons.
In January-May BelAZ’s output rose by 75.1%. The shipment of spare parts increased by 63.6% YoY. The stock in storage coefficient dropped to 1.58 – the lowest figure on record for the last five years, corresponding to the year 2012 levels. BelAZ representatives attributed larger output and higher sales to higher workforce productivity among other reasons. In turn, higher workforce productivity is fueled by rising salaries. In January-May salaries at BelAZ averaged Br1,014.7. This year’s business portfolio is full. The company is now taking orders for the next year. In 2016 BelAZ’s industrial output rose by 50% YoY.
