In May Ukraine exported 24.5 thousand tons of high-oleic sunflower oil, which became a record of monthly shipment volumes.
Since the beginning of 2016-2017 MY (September 2016) Ukraine exported the maximum volumes of the product ever – 120 thousand tons, up 3-fold YoY (40.8 thousand tons).
Also, during the first 9 months of 2016-2017 MY the EU became the most active importer of Ukrainian high-oleic sunflower oil, and purchased 67% of the general supplies. In particular, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands (16% each), Italy (13%), Spain (11.5%) and France (8%) were the largest importers of the product from Ukraine. In addition, Asian countries increased the product purchases (28% of the general supplies), including Malaysia (7%), Iran (6%), India (6%), China (4%), and the United Arab Emirates (2%).
