As of June 1, the registered carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 6.539 million tons. In particular, peasant and farming households stored 994.48 thousand tons of grains, the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan declared.
Wheat formed the major share of the general grain stocks – 5.602 million tons, including 4.678 million tons of milling wheat, 328.18 thousand tons of feed wheat, and 595.94 thousand tons of wheat for seeds.
Corn stocks totaled 54.89 thousand tons, rice – 94.92 thousand tons, barley – 527.57 thousand tons, rye – 16.2 thousand tons, oats – 103.75 thousand tons, buckwheat – 31.54 thousand tons, millet – 15.06 thousand tons, and mixture of spiked grain crops – 47.82 thousand tons.
