“In the framework of the project “Financing of Agriculture-5″ the seed farms were provided loans at 6% per annum for three years,” the First Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammetkaly Abulgaziev said.
He urged farmers to use this opportunity actively.
“The goal of republican seed industry is to ensure farmers in regions of the country get quality certified seed. In this connection it is necessary to use advanced technology in the fieldwork, and use drip irrigation and high-yielding hybrid seeds,” he said.
Mukhammetkaly Abulgaziev said that in 2017 it was planned to sow crops in the territory of 1203.6 thousand hectares.
Republican seed farms and agricultural entities during the spring fieldwork will provide farmers with 88.1% of wheat seeds, barley – 86.6%, maize – by 93.3%, potatoes – by 95.9%, sainfoin – 80.5% and cotton – by 79.7%. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
