Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Korea Askar Beshimov met with the Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund Howard Bamsey. He promised to allocate $300,000 to the State Agency of Environment and Forestry of the Kyrgyz Republic as the national authority on work with the fund.
In the framework of this application, international experts will be sent to Bishkek in March to evaluate and prepare a plan of work with Kyrgyzstan.
The sides also discussed issues of cooperation and participation of Kyrgyzstan in the project programs of the fund on adaptation to climate change. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
