In January the index of consumer prices for goods and services totaled 100.9% as against December 2016, the National Statistics Committee of Belarus reported.
In January the basic index of consumer prices that disregards changes of prices for the commodities and services affected by administrative and seasonal factors reached 100.7% as against December 2016. Food prices rose by 1.2% MoM and increased by 10.1% YoY. Non-food prices went up by 0.8% and by 6.3% respectively. The index of prices for and tariffs on paid services totaled 100.3% as against December 2016 and 113.5% as against January 2016. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
