Oil refineries in Kyrgyzstan have great difficulties with supplies of raw materials in required quantities, the State Committee of Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use reported.
It is noted that the main strategic suppliers of the refineries are the companies from Russia and Kazakhstan.
Oil supplies from Russia are unprofitable because the cost of raw materials is a part of the Russian export duties.
Kyrgyzstan has five large oil refineries, which plan to process 650,000 tons of raw materials in 2017. The domestic market will be provided by the local factories.
The State Committee asks the Russian Ministry of Energy to review the proposed imports of oil stock and oil products and set them at a level not less than 300,000 tons of crude oil, 500,000 tons of gasoline and 350,000 tons of diesel fuel. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
