Belarus’ OAO Mogilevliftmash elevator plant reports a 15.3% increase in exports in January-November to $106.9 million, a company representative reported.
Elevator exports grew by 28.4% to 10,109 units.
The bulk of elevators was exported to Russia – 8,599 units (up by 27.9% YoY).
Elevators are Mogilevliftmash’s major export product.
Elevators manufactured by Mogilevliftmash are exported to former Soviet states: Ukraine – 814 units, up by 97.6%, Kazakhstan – 409 units, down by 25.4%. Elevators were also exported to Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Scotland, Germany, and Slovakia.
Mogilevliftmash sold 1,305 elevators on Belarus’ home market in January-November, down by 4.7%.
Elevators account for more than 90% of the company’s total output. Mogilevliftmash manufactured 11,305 elevators in January-November, up by 19.7%.
Established in 1966, Mogilevliftmash makes a wide range of passenger elevators (400-1,000 kg), cargo elevators (100-5,000 kg), cargo-passenger, hospital and specific elevators – a total of 133 base models.
The company also produces platforms for physically challenged people, castings, ventilation turbines, and consumer goods. (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
