Ukrainian farmers are completing sunseed harvesting.
As of November 21, this crop was gathered from 5839.7 thousand ha or 99% of the intended area (5919.3 thousand ha), up by 16.3% YoY (5020 thousand ha). Farmers obtained 13283.7 KMT of sunseed with the average yield of 2.27 MT/ha, which is an all-time high for Ukraine. In 2015 farmers harvested 11086 KMT of sunseed with the average yield of 2.21 MT/ha.
Soybeans have been harvested from 1747.6 thousand ha, which is 95% of the intended 1837.7 thousand ha. Farmers obtained 4010.4 KMT of soybeans with the average yield of 2.29 MT/ha against last year’s 3745 KMT and 1.77 MT/ha respectively. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
