Azerbaijan’s Economy Ministry has already received first appeals from entrepreneurs regarding the partly repayment of their expenses for products’ export, the country’s Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev reported.
“As is known, in accordance with the export support mechanism, Azerbaijani government will return part of the money spent by entrepreneurs on the organization of export supplies (compensation is provided at a rate of 3-6% of the customs value of goods)”, the minister said.
“Two entrepreneurs have already appealed to Azerbaijan’s Economy Ministry, documentation is currently being studied and soon they will get their money back”, he added.
Export promotion system will be in effect until 2020. The promotion is available only regarding the goods produced in Azerbaijan.
Exporters of the following products can benefit from the promotion system: natural honey, dried fruit, persimmons, pomegranates, pastries, canned vegetables, fruits, nuts and hazelnuts, jams, confiture, fruit jellies, marmalades, fruit, nut puree and paste, fruit and vegetable juices, sauces, condiments, mineral water, carbonated water, soft drinks, wine and stum, cognac, brandy, liquor, tufted and lint-free handmade carpets and other goods specified in the list.
Export promotion system is not applicable to imported or re-exported products, as well as goods produced in free trade zones, or goods imported to Azerbaijan for transit purposes, as well as in other cases stipulated by the regulations.
