As of November 1, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 54.863 million tons of grains throughout the areas of 12.685 million ha, or 89% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4.33 ton/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported. At the same time, on the same date last year the production volumes reached 54.94 million tons.
In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 15.836 million tons of the grain throughout 2.668 million ha (63%). The average yield reached 5.94 ton/ha.
Also, Ukraine harvested 188 thousand tons of buckwheat throughout 147 thousand ha (99%). The average yield totaled 1.27 ton/ha. Agrarians harvested millet throughout 102 thousand ha (98%). The production volumes totaled 186 thousand tons, with the yield of 1.83 ton/ha.
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 12.243 million tons of sunflower seed throughout 5.547 million ha (94%), with the average yield of 2.21 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 3.524 million tons of the oilseed throughout the areas of 1.606 million ha (87%), with the average yield of 2.19 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of November 1, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 6.682 million ha (89% of the plan), up 316 thousand ha compared with the same date last year.
In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 5.656 million ha (91%), winter rye – 154 thousand ha (104%), and winter barley – 772 thousand ha (75%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 798 thousand ha (110%). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
