In January-September the sea terminal Nika-Tera (Sea Special Port Nika-Tera LLC, Mykolaiv, part of Group DF) shipped 1.287 million tons of grain cargoes, which is 51.32% of the general cargo turnover (2.508 million tons), the press-service of the company declared. The terminal also shipped 263.7 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers (10.51%) and 956.5 thousand tons of bulk cargoes.
According to the announcement, during the 9 months of 2016 the terminal processed 173 dry bulk carriers.
In particular, in September Nika-Tera transshipped 392.7 thousand tons of cargoes, including 264.4 thousand tons of grains, 6.1 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers, and 122.2 thousand tons of bulk cargoes.
According to the Chairman of Nika-Tera specialized sea port Oleksandr Gaidu, within the port infrastructure development programs, and for increasing of the terminal capacities, Nika-Tera started operating 9 additional railway lines with the length of nearly 3 km, 15 railway switches, and the weighting complex. Realization of the project allowed significantly reducing the time of rail cars processing. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
