In September Ukraine exported 13.7 KMT of soybean oil, which is record high for this month. In September 2015 exports equaled 9.7 KMT, and in August 2016 – 10.3 KMT. Soybean oil exports continue to increase from season to season.
In September large volumes were shipped to Poland (over 30% of total exports), Iran (21%) and India (16.8%). It should be noted that the largest importer of 2015/2016 MY – China – reduced its share to 7.4%. Meanwhile, Iran and Saudi Arabia renewed soybean oil imports from Ukraine after the pause since 2013/2014 MY. Moreover, for the first time Ukrainian soybean oil was shipped to Ethiopia.
Analyzing Ukrainian export capacity in 2016/2017 MY, analysts expect soybean oil exports to reach 160-165 KMT. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
