Belarus’ chemical company OAO Grodno Azot manufactured Br961.8 million worth of chemical products ($502.785 million) in January-September, down by 0.7% YoY, the company said in an official report.
OAO Grodno Azot’s nitrogen fertilizer output stood at 593,633 tons (in terms of 100% nitrogen) in January-September, down by 4.6% YoY; carbamide output decreased by 5.2% to 793,563 tons.
OAO Grodno Azot’s nitrogen fertilizer output stood at 41,021 tons (in terms of 100% nitrogen) in September, down by 39.8% YoY; carbamide output decreased by 53.1% to 44,285 tons.
Grodno Azot decreased output of ammonium sulphate by 11.8% in January-September to 249,510 tons; nitrosol – 581,497 tons, down by 0.8% YoY; ammonia – 833,190 tons, down by 4.8%; sulphuric acid – 170,116 tons, down by 12.5%; technical methanol – 26,323 tons, down by 43.4%, caprolactam – 48,779 tons, down by 22.5%; chemical fibres – 26,608 tons, up by 24.2%, cord cloth – up by 36.8% to 26.966 million running meters, basic nylon – up by 8.8% to 76,563 tons.
Grodno Azot was set up in 1963 and transformed into an open joint-stock company in 2002. The Belarusian government holds a 99.97% stake.
