Belarus decreased electricity exports to Lithuania by 6.6% YoY in January-July to 83.7 million kWh, according to official statistical reports.
Belarus’ proceeds from electricity exports to Lithuania reduced by 5.8% to $4.885 million.
Lithuania was the key and basically the only destination of Belarus’ electricity exports in 2015.
Belarus plans to export to Lithuania around 200m kWh of electric energy in 2016, just as much as in 2015.
Belarus’ power generating companies decreased electrical power output by 3.2% YoY in January-December 2015 to 30.6 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh). Electric power consumption reduced by 3.5% to 36.7 billion kWh.
In 2015 Belarus imported 2.82 billion kWh of electric energy, down by 26.4% YoY. (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
