In July Kazakhstan exported 11% more flour than in July 2015 (141.3 KMT against 126.8 KMT). Over 11 months of 2015/2016 Kazakhstan increased flour exports by 29% YoY.
Afghanistan imported record high volume of Kazakh flour during the period in view – 1096 KMT. Last time Afghanistan imported such large volumes of flour in 2009/2010. Thus, Afghanistan became the main consumer of Kazakh flour in 2015/2016. Purchases of Uzbekistan, top importer in 2014/2015, remained on the level of previous season. Other key importers (Tajikistan, Turkmenistan) decreased purchases, except for China. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
