As of September 30, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 43.608 million tons of grains throughout the areas of 10.902 million ha, or 76% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4 ton/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine declared. At the same time, on the same date last year the production volumes reached 41.8 million tons.
In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 4.795 million tons throughout 933 thousand ha (22%). The average yield reached 5.14 ton/ha.
Also, Ukraine harvested 172 thousand tons of buckwheat throughout 136 thousand ha (91%). The average yield totaled 1.26 ton/ha. Agrarians harvested millet throughout 98 thousand ha (94%). The production volumes totaled 179 thousand tons, with the yield of 1.83 ton/ha.
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 7.916 million tons of sunflower seed throughout 3.689 million ha (62%), with the average yield of 2.15 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 2.102 million tons throughout the areas of 994 thousand ha (54%), with the average yield of 2.11 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of September 30, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 3.144 million ha (29% of the plan), down by 334 thousand ha YoY.
In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 2.927 million ha (47%), winter rye – 107 thousand ha (73%), and winter barley – 110 thousand ha (11%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 712 thousand ha (98%). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
