In 2016/2017 MY, the export volumes of grains from Russia will reach 40 million tons, the General Director at SovEcon Andrei Sizov declared.
The supply and demand balances in the current agricultural year formed in such way that the grain resources would total nearly 130 million tons. Therefore, SovEcon forecasts the exports at such a record level. If the country fails to reach the reporting index, then there will be significant carry-over stocks at the end of the season.
At the same time, Sizov noted that in 2016/2017 MY Russia could hit a new record not only in the general grain exports, but also in the supply of wheat – nearly 31 million tons. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
