According to the official statistics data, in the first two months of the season-2016/2017 (July-August) Ukraine imported 8.8 thousand tons of rye flour, while in the same period of the previous season – 1 ton only. In the current year, Belarus supplied the whole volumes of rye flour.
Ukraine significantly increased foreign purchases of rye flour since mid-2015/2016 MY (22.2 thousand tons for the whole season; 97% from Belarus). But in the previous three seasons, the imports developed at the minimum level – nearly 10 tons per month. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
