OAO Mogilevliftmash elevator plant says it has invested Br6.3 million ($3.234 million) in production development in January-August, up by 7.9% YoY.
The money spent on equipment purchases account for 83% of the total investment – Br5 million ($2.567 million): Mogilevliftmash purchased 8 units of equipment, including a paintshop for supersized parts (by Spain’s LAGOS S.A.), an automatic painting facility by Spain’s Metra, two turning tools by Germany’s Spinner, and welding equipment by Belarus’ Oliver.
Mogilevliftmash reports a 2.6% increase in elevator exports in January-August to 6,704 units.
The bulk of elevators was exported to Russia – 5,681 units (up by 24.4% YoY). Russia accounts for 72% of elevator exports by Mogilevliftmash.
Elevators are Mogilevliftmash’s major export product.
Elevators manufactured by Mogilevliftmash are exported to former Soviet states: Ukraine – 570 units, up by 91.9%, Kazakhstan – 224 units, down by 42.9%. Another 101 elevators were exported to foreign states other than the CIS states.
Mogilevliftmash also sold 878 elevators on the domestic market, down by 9.9% YoY.
Elevator output grew by 13.8% YoY in January-August to 7,475 units worth Br164 million ($84.185 million), up by 33.2%.
Established in 1966, Mogilevliftmash makes a wide range of passenger elevators (400-1,000 kg), cargo elevators (100-5,000 kg), cargo-passenger, hospital and specific elevators – a total of 133 base models.
