As of September 1, the registered carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 4.83 million tons (up by 1.8 million tons MoM), the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported. In particular, peasant and farming households stored 529.8 thousand tons of grains.
Wheat formed the major share of the general grain stocks – 3.81 million tons, including 3.44 million tons of milling wheat, 235.9 thousand tons of feed wheat, and 129.6 thousand tons of wheat for seeds.
Also, corn stocks totaled 9.61 thousand tons, rice – 37.32 thousand tons, barley – 741.51 thousand tons, rye – 37.3 thousand tons, oats – 93.48 thousand tons, buckwheat – 5.55 thousand tons, millet – 4.94 thousand tons, and mixture of spiked grain crops – 31.2 thousand tons.
