Belarus’ chemical company OAO Grodno Azot manufactured Br885.5 million worth of chemical products ($452.71 million) in January-August, up by 3.8% YoY, the company said in an official report.
OAO Grodno Azot’s nitrogen fertilizer output stood at 552,612 tons (in terms of 100% nitrogen) in January-August, down by 0.2% YoY; carbamide output increased by 0.9% to 749,278 tons.
OAO Grodno Azot’s nitrogen fertilizer output stood at 64,685 tons (in terms of 100% nitrogen) in August 2016, down by 5.1% YoY; carbamide output decreased by 3.3% to 88,559 tons.
Grodno Azot decreased output of ammonium sulfate by 9.9% in January-August to 227,240 tons; nitrosol – 528,717 tons, up by 0.5% YoY; ammonia – 781,618 tons, up by 0.5%; sulfuric acid – 151,330 tons, down by 13%; technical methanol – 26,323 tons, down by 43.4%, caprolactam – 41,410 tons, down by 24.8%; chemical fibers – 23,182 tons, up by 23.9%.
Cord cloth output was up by 35.7% to 23.857 million running meters, basic nylon – up by4.1% to 68,413 tons.
Grodno Azot was founded in 1963 and transformed into an open joint-stock company in 2002. The Belarusian government holds a 99.97% stake.
