In January-August Port Kavkaz handled 19,232,000 tons (up by 12% YoY), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich said.
Off-harbor transshipment complex handled 5,511,000 tons of export cargo (down by 21% YoY).
Transshipment of oil products increased by 53% to 8,657,000 tons, sulfur and mineral fertilizers – by 112% to 2,193,000 tons, grain dropped by 1% to 2,282,000 tons, LPG – by 15% to 117,000 tons.
Exports from Port Kavkaz fell by 28% to 306,000 tons, imports – 4.3 times to 64,000 tons. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo surged by 61% to 13,050,000 tons.
Bunker sales at the port dropped by 39% to 301,000 tons. Passenger turnover climbed by 29% to 4,407,411 passengers. The number of calls increased by 36% to 18,103 calls. (Portnews/Business World Magazine)
