Belarus’ Agriculture and Food Ministry is taking measures to help its three enterprises regain access to the Russian market, Alexander Subbotin, Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister – Director of the Veterinary and Food Supervision Department, said.
“Rosselkhoznadzor’s claims are about the quality of registration of the dried milk conformity declarations”, the deputy minister explained.
“We are looking into the situation. We will do our best to solve all existing issues to resume the deliveries of our products to the Russian market”.
On August 11, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) published a statement on its website announcing temporary restrictions on the delivery of products of the Volkovysk-based enterprise Bellakt, Rogachev Milk Canning Plant, and Kalinkovichi Dairy Plant to the Russian Federation starting from August 13.
“The temporary restrictions were imposed in connection with the numerous violations of the regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Russian Federation by a number of Belarusian enterprises”, the statement reads. Rosselkhoznadzor will consider lifting the restrictions once Belarus investigates all the facts and submits the relevant materials and results of the tests. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
